Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Optometrist to join our team. The Optometrist will be responsible for examining eyes and visual systems, diagnosing problems or impairments, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing treatment for ocular diseases. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality eye care and building strong relationships with patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye and vision examinations.
- Diagnose and treat visual problems and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders of the eyes.
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and visual hygiene.
- Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other specialists when advanced care is needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate with opticians, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure exceptional patient experiences.
- Stay current on advancements in optometry and attend continuing education as needed.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
- Active and unrestricted Tennessee state license to practice optometry.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and detail-oriented.
