Position Overview
Protegra Healthcare Staffing is recruiting a skilled and adaptable Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for a permanent position with one of our healthcare clients in the Rowlett, Texas area.
The CRNA will provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care while collaborating with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other members of the perioperative team. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, team-oriented, and flexible regarding shift coverage.
There are no obstetric cases associated with this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and review patients’ medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans.
- Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care as appropriate.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond promptly to changes in clinical condition.
- Manage airways and provide appropriate perioperative pain-management support.
- Participate in postoperative evaluations and continuity of care.
- Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nursing staff, and other clinical professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow all facility, regulatory, safety, and infection-control requirements.
- Participate in the call and weekend rotation.
Schedule
The facility offers a combination of shift lengths, including:
- Five 8-hour shifts available each day
- Two 10-hour shifts
- One 12-hour shift
- One 16-hour shift
Candidates who are flexible and willing to work a combination of shifts will be the strongest fit. Availability limited exclusively to 10- or 12-hour shifts may be difficult to accommodate.
Call and Weekend Requirements
- Backup call rotation of approximately 1:14
- Weekend rotation of approximately 1:14
- Anesthesiologists take first call; CRNAs provide backup call coverage
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
- Current NBCRNA certification.
- Current or eligible Texas RN and APRN authorization.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- PALS certification, if required by the facility.
- Strong clinical assessment, airway-management, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Willingness to participate in the required call and weekend rotations.
