Adult Family Physician

Position Summary

A community-based medical center is seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Adult Family Physician (MD) to provide comprehensive primary care services to diverse and underserved patient populations. The physician will play a vital role in delivering high-quality preventive, chronic, and acute care while supporting the organization’s commitment to accessible healthcare for all.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services for adult and family medicine patients
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform routine physical exams, wellness visits, and preventive screenings
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
• Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment options
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, including behavioral health, dental, and care management staff
• Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the State of [State]
• DEA certification required
• Strong commitment to community-based and patient-centered care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an FQHC, community health center, or underserved setting preferred
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably eClinicalWorks (eCW)
