Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to inform treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Develop personalized treatment strategies incorporating motivational interviewing techniques and trauma-informed care approaches for clients with PTSD or other trauma-related conditions.
- Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, educators, and community agencies to coordinate holistic patient care and case management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensure timely updates of medical records within electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives by collecting data, analyzing outcomes, and contributing to ongoing studies related to behavioral health and mental health counseling.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders through specialized interventions such as special education strategies or applied behavior analysis.
- Facilitate intake assessments for new patients, ensuring thorough understanding of their needs and establishing appropriate treatment goals.
- Engage in continuous professional development by staying current with advances in psychopharmacology, diagnostic coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and emerging best practices in social work.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics across diverse settings such as hospitals, community clinics, or home-based care environments.
- Strong knowledge of mental health disorders including PTSD, addiction issues, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Alzheimer’s care, Geriatrics, and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Proficiency in EMR systems for documentation and data collection; familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
- Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9) and CPT coding for billing processes.
- Excellent skills in social work practices including case management, crisis intervention, patient assessment, intake procedures, and clinical counseling techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams providing behavioral health services within hospital or community settings.
- Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care; ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
